The 35th Annual Texas Cup was held September 13-15 at the Barton Creek Crenshaw course. It came down to the wire. In Day 1 foursomes, the North Team won 4.5–1.5. The South Team answered with a 4.5–1.5 win in fourball, tying the Cup at 6–6. The outcome was decided in the Day 2 singles matches. Unfortunately, the South did not retain the Cup this year. The North Team’s new recruits—Chaney Uhles, Sherry Clark, and Kat Oliver—had an outstanding Texas Cup debut, posting three of four points in the North’s 14-10 victory. Although the South Team did not win, we played with full hearts and clear eyes. The South will rise again, Go South!
