We are excited to host the 2026 Texas Cup at the Crenshaw course at Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas on September 13-15. We are also hosting the South Team qualifier at Champions Golf Course on August 8-9. We will be playing the Cypress Creek course. South Texas LAGA is looking forward to another great year in 2026.

The 58th Houston City Amateur Championship, the 38th Houston City Senior Championship and the 13th Houston City Super-Senior Championship will be held at Gus Wortham Golf Course on July 14- 15, 2026. 

The format is a 36-hole stroke play event. When you register, you will need to declare which division you wish to compete; the Amateur Championship (age 18 and older as of 7/14/26) playing approximately 5,700 yards or the Amateur Tournament division playing approximately 5,000 yards.  

The Amateur Championship division will be awarded gross prizes. The Amateur Tournament division will be flighted with gross and net prizes awarded in each flight. The Senior Champion (age 50 & older as of 7/14/26) and the Super-Senior Champion (age 65 & older as of 7/14/26) will be awarded from the Amateur Tournament division.

Entries will be available around mid-May, 2026. Please “save this date” and plan to play in the Women’s City Amateur Championships.

Congratulations to Meghan Moake City Am Champion, Helen Cho City Am Senior Champion and Cindy Gilkeson City Am Super Senior Champion.

Moake finished three under par, shooting 73-68–141, winning by two strokes over Stephanie Hurlburt. This year’s City Amateur was held at Sugar Creek Country Club.
