Format: A 36-Hole Stroke Play Tournament. The field is limited to the first 90 paid entries. 8:00am Registration. 9:00am Shotgun start. Flighted by USGA Handicap index, 6 flights for 90 players; number of flights may be adjusted based on number of entries.

Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age, not in High School, Resident of the Greater Houston Area (75-mile radius from Houston City Hall). Maximum handicap index of 36.1, all handicap indexes must be verifiable.

Entry Fee: $175 per player, includes Green-fees, Range-balls, Golf Carts (no walkers/no caddies) and lunch both days.

Practice rounds are not included in the entry fee. Practice rounds will be available starting August 1st at the Guest of Member rate of $105 per player (includes cart). Weekday practice rounds can book the preceding Friday at 11AM. Weekend rounds can be booked Wednesday after 11AM. Please contact Sugar Creek Pro-shop to schedule a practice round at 281-494-9131.

Awards: City Amateur Champion, City Senior Champion (50 and older as of August 29, 2022), City Super Senior Champion (65 and older as of August 29, 2022). City Amateur Champion will be awarded to the lowest 2-day score. If that person happens to be a senior, the 2nd lowest 2-day score for a senior will win the Senior Title. One Player may not win both Titles. Flight awards for 1st/2nd Low Gross and 1st/2nd Low Net.

Deadline: Entries must be received by August 19^th. Entries will not be accepted until

The Clubs of Kingwood Forest Course will host STXLAGA on Saturday, April 9th Tee times will begin at 1:00 pm. Look for the Evite to sign up.

STXLAGA will host the Texas Cup South Team Qualifier at Cypresswood Golf Club Tradition Course in Spring TX on July 9-10, 2022. Saturday, July 9th tee times will begin at 1:00 pm and Sunday, July 10th tee times will begin at 10:04. The combined 2 day total will count with the 6 lowest scores qualifying for the Texas Cup. The 2022 South Team will be made up of 3 players from the point system, 6 from a qualifier and 3 Captains picks. Your handicap must be 8 or lower in order to play.

Cypresswood Golf Club has played host to numerous amateur and professional events including 2nd Stage of the PGA Tour School, the Southern Texas PGA Eastern Championship, the Shell Houston Open Qualifier and several Futures Tour Events .

Sign up will be in Evite, sent out six weeks in advance. Event details will be include yardages, fees, etc. Cypresswood is a daily fee facility.

The South Team will host the 2022 Texas Cup on the Tournament Course at The Woodlands on September 11-13th.
