Thanks to member support of STXLAGA, we made charitable contributions to two great organizations this year!
STXLAGA contributed a gift of $500 to Grammy’s Cookie Convoy, Inc. From their mission statement: As a non-profit organization, our goal is to let those who serve this great nation know we honor their commitment and remain appreciative for their unselfish sacrifice. Grammy’s Cookie convoy has been serving our troops since 2005, sending over 250,000 cookies to the troops overseas. For more information, contact Marlene Summers at Grammyscookieconvoy@gmail.com or go to http://www.troopsproject.com.
We also contributed $1000 to the TGA Foundation Junior Girls Travel Fund. This program was established in 1986 to offset expenses for girls residing in Texas, age 17 and under, who qualify for the US Girls Junior National Championship. The Nez Muhleman Golf Tournament better known as “The Nezzie” will be held on June 25, 2018 at Riverbend Country Club and is the main fundraiser for the Travel Fund. If you are interested in participating in the Annual “Nezzie” Golf Tournament contact Ellen Earle at elle2earle@gmail.com.
